With all do respect, if you’re going to be advertising a full-length game people have to buy, you can do a little better with the trailer. The animation really isn’t impressive at all. It looked like Remus was just dragged down the screen.

The teaser’s sole purpose is to let people know that its coming. It’s not a showcase of the game since the game doesn’t exist yet, its’ still in production. So we don’t actually have any finished animation to show hence a static image of Reemus being dragged down the screen
I can assure you though that the animation will be impressive in the next trailer.

No this is separate from the Death Slug storyline. The Death slug story will actually continue on in Reemus chapter 4 as a free to play game and be released at the same time as this.
The Ballads of Reemus is a completely new storyline dealing with Reemus’ early career as an exterminator. This game will be complete, so no cliffhangers or anything, just one long story.
So you’ll be getting a Reemus double shot soon.
Okay, but how are you going to advertise to new players who have never HEARD of The Several Journeys Of Reamus? *I* know that Reamus kicks ass. But what of the masses?
Another follow up to my first comment:
Why don’t you try to get advertising space on Newgrounds, IGN, Clickgames, and the like? The second might be a little tricky, but I really think you need to reach as many potential buyers as possible. Just go for a sidebar ad. Link it to a trailer with a montage of scenes from your free releases of Reamus, with a link to play them.

All great ideas Buck. Our plan is to use Chapter 4 as a tool to get the word out about Ballads. Then get Ballads onto many review sites. We also have a Tell-a-friend system and other ideas that we want to roll out but in the meantime my main priority is to actually finish the game. There’s so much I want to do with Ballads that I don’t want to get too bogged down with marketing yet.
My hope is to rally enough of you existing fans to pre-order so I can fully concentrate on making the best adventure game I can possibly make. That’s what the teaser is for.
Once I have finished assets for the real game I can cut a full trailer that gets new people excited.

I’m glad you trying to make money off your game but most people don’t really trust Internet shopping or even have a credit card so you leave out a whole lot of people. You might say that the game is self contained but most fans will feel left out and forgotten just because they are unable to pay.

latin experienced something of a revival when cicero began to coin new latin words from latin roots for the imported concepts in philosophy, mathematics etc.
apparently many words in the latin preserved by the church for centuries owe their provenance to cicero.
