Can you hear it?

Saturday, August 28th, 2010

After much procrastination, I finally finished the sound design on Chapter 4. Steve is hard at work implementing it all. It should be available soon!

For those that have been asking, if you’ve ordered our new game “The Ballads of Reemus”. Chapter 4 will be available to you immediately. We’ll use your input to fix any glaring bugs or glitches, then we’ll release it the rest of the members of clickshakegames.com.

Once Ballads of Reemus is ready to launch, we’ll be releasing Chp.4 to the general public. So if you’re a member or have purchased the game you’ll be playing it very soon. Remember membership is free, but if you really want to support these games save up your coffee money and buy the game! Support indie studios and adventure games!

So where the @*#! is it?

Thursday, August 19th, 2010

Well things are coming together. I’ve had a few setbacks, one being my computer dying on me which put me out of commission for a bit. But overall we’re trudging forward.

Chapter 4 is 99% done, we still have some outstanding sound design and music to get to. I still don’t have a solid release date for it and I don’t want to guess because we all know how that goes.

The Ballads of Reemus is also moving along nicely, we have the first puzzle completely finished now and the second one well on it’s way. We’re also toying around with some new ways of releasing the game so we can have it out and playable sooner.

So what I’m trying to say is soon this adventure drought will be over and it’ll be raining Reemus all over you and your computer. So just sit tight and be patient. I really want to make sure these are the best games I can make and with just two guys it takes time.

As always thanks for the support and thanks for waiting!

First Complete Play Through!

Wednesday, July 21st, 2010

I just completed my first full play through on Reemus Chapter 4!

Being so busy with Ballads of Reemus I haven’t looked at or thought about this game since I finished the design over a month ago. So when Steve sent me the complete version I was able to approach it with fresh eyes.

I have to say this is my fav chapter so far. I think the puzzles are all decent, there isn’t anything overly frustrating in it (ie. multi screen walking with potions (cough) chapter 3 (cough)) and it has a satisfying length. I also think its my funniest Reemus adventure.

So now that I’ve hyped it up, when will it be released? Well we’re just doing some last minute tweaks and I’m passing it onto my audio guy to make it sing with custom sound effects.

If you’ve purchased Ballads of Reemus you’ll be the first to play it, probably next week. You will get to be our elite team of bug sniffers. Once we get it completely polished and shiny we’ll set it loose to the rest of the world.

Chapter 4 almost ready

Monday, July 12th, 2010

My apologies for the lack of updates, I’ve been buried in artwork, design and dirty diapers. Here’s the latest headlines…

Reemus Chapter 4 is almost done. We’re heading into the sound design stage as the final programming tweaks are being worked out. I’ll post a release date soon!

In other news I’m clawing my way through the first act of Ballads of Reemus. I’ve revamped some of my initial puzzle designs and I’m feeling really good about them now. Still lots of artwork left to do but I’m working away at it slow and steady.

Also Clickshakegames.com has released another batch of achievements for my older games. A Small Favor now has rewards, head over and grab them all!
